Chicken Liver Pate Recipe

A delicious recipe for Chicken Liver Pate.

Ingredients

250g of Chiken Liver

1 medium sized onion

1/2 red bell pepper

1 tsp each of dried Rosemary, Thyme and Oregano

Seasoning with salt, pepper and paprika

1 tsp Dijon Mustard

1 cup dry red wine

2 tbsp olive oil

Preparation

Heat the oliv oil in a pan

Add the chopped onions and peppers and cook for about 3-4 mins till they are soft

Add the chicken livers, add the salt, pepper and paprika and cook for about 5-6 mins till the livers are not pink any more. Then stir in 1 tsp of Dijon Mustard.

Add the herbs, and the wine and cook for about 2-3 mins to thicken the sauce.

Put it into a blender and pulse till the mixture is smooth.

Transfer to a bowl and chill for a couple of hours

Server with toasted, sliced bagutte or French Loaf

Serves 4-6
